FAITH ENRICHMENT COMMITTEE

VISION & DIRECTION STATEMENT

OUR PURPOSE:  This year, FAITH established an Enrichment Committee to plan and coordinate Enrichment. As the group grows, management of a project the size and scope of our Enrichment program has become too large and complex for the one or two people who have been tasked with this mammoth job in years past. We wish to officially thank all those exceptional ladies for their tireless work in getting the Enrichment program to the point it is today.

The Enrichment Committee is a working committee, charged with planning and coordinating all Enrichment activities at a level that is consistent with FAITH’s vision and purpose.

OUR VISION: To represent our Lord well, by diligently doing what is right. We want and expect that, as Christians, participants in Enrichment will conduct themselves in a godly manner, understanding that we do ALL that we do to the glory of God. (1 Cor. 10:31)

OUR DIRECTION: To provide quality classes that will be enriching for the students’ education, while establishing relationships that will further each family’s homeschooling process.

·                          About the classes:  While these will not be core subject material, they won’t be fluff either. Especially at upper levels, some teachers may expect some work to be done at home.

·                          For teachers, this will require a commitment to the class – to being there at each session (unless there is urgent reason not to be), and to being adequately prepared for the class.

·                          Students will be expected to participate in the classes and to maintain appropriate behavior. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary action which may include termination of eligibility to be part of the Enrichment program.

·                          Teachers will be expected to maintain discipline within their classes and to lead the classes in such a way as to instill a sense of excellence and godliness in their students.

·                          This is a CO-OP! That means that it is a cooperative effort between those who benefit. If you see a benefit to Enrichment for your family and want to participate in the program, then you will have to work at each session. We are doing this TOGETHER; nobody is doing it FOR anybody.

·                          Understanding that each family in the group is making their own homeschool journey, we will make every effort to come alongside each other in support, encouragement and friendship.
